Jen has provided music for diverse events including weddings, corporate parties, funerals and memorials, luncheons, teas, and cultural events.  She delivers a diverse program organized for each event and works with planners and organizers to make the music fit the occasion.

If you’re looking for a teacher, coach, or workshop presenter

Jen is a professional harper focusing on teaching, performing and arranging traditional music.  She holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Florida, with master’s degrees in Systems Engineering, Adult Development Psychology and Special Education: Gifted and Talented.  Her teaching is creative and innovative as she mixes techniques as needed to reach each student where they are at each interaction. She incorporates musicianship, musicality, rhythm, movement, singing, playing, art, writing, storytelling and technique as well as ergonomics and multi-modal content delivery.  In addition to private students, she is Co-Director of the annual Harp Quest and Director of the Harp Program at the Ohio Scottish Arts School.  Jen is the Competition Committee Chair and Scottish Harp Society of America judge.  She blogs weekly on topics that range from touring Scotland with a harp to helping harpers fulfill their promise as musicians.

Jen has performed in a number of diverse venues.  She has been privileged to play for the National Cathedral Labyrinth; First Secretary of Scottish Affairs and Clan Stewart; Walter Reed Army Hospital’s Malone House; Royal Air Force Base Kinloss Officers’ Club; Ballendalloch and Dalgety Castles; as a guest performer for Trinity Cathedral’s HarpFest; on tour in Norway and Scotland as a member of Harpa and for theater opening nights and weddings, and at festivals including Stone Mountain Highland Games, Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, Scotland CT Highland Games, and others.
